You might have seen Chris Marker’s sci-fi masterpiece LA JETÉE… But have you ever really listened to it?
The path from Tristan und Isolde → Vertigo → La Jeteé → 12 Monkeys is one of my favorite examples of art passed by reference, mercurial storytelling and musical themes interweaving.
